GA represents Monk in case which has attracted large public support from the UK Buddhist community

Gulbenkian Andonian has been instructed to represent a Buddhist Monk – the Venerable Thien (pictured above) – in her battle to obtain leave to remain in the United Kingdom on compassionate grounds and exceptional circumstances.

The Venerable Thien is the most senior figure at a Buddhist Temple in Upper Norwood (only one of two Vietnamese Buddhist temples in the UK). She attracts worshippers from all over the UK within the Vietnamese community and is arguably one of the most (if not the most) senior Vietnamese Buddhist figure in the UK attracting 80,000 worshippers.

The community and the temple’s activity has been reinvigorated since her ordainment and the temple now hosts a whole range of activities for the local worshipping community including the teaching of Yoga amongst others.

The local MP, the Right Honourable Steve Reed, has also visited the temple and has vowed to assist in any way that he could.

At Gulbenkian Andonian Solicitors, we have a wealth of experience in handling such applications to the Secretary of State and a track of producing excellent legal representations to the Home Office to ensure optimum chances of success.
