What do you have to do as an EU Citizen who wants to continue living in the UK?
If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, you and your family must apply to the EU Settlement Scheme if you would like to continue living in the UK. If your application is successful, you’ll get either settled or pre-settled status. The deadline for applying is 30 June 2021.
What happens if the UK leaves the EU without a deal?
You will need to be living in the UK before it leaves the EU to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme, the UK government has stated that this is until 2300 hours on 31 October 2019. If you are in the country before this time the deadline for applying will be 31 December 2020.

We advise all EU nationals who are living in the UK to not wait around and apply through the EU Settlement Scheme as soon as possible, i.e. before October 31st 2019.
