Temporary workers, entertainers, sports persons, overseas government employees and youth mobility scheme.
This is designed to permit temporary workers and those aged between 18 and 30 in the youth mobility scheme, to come to the UK to undertake short term temporary work. One of the purposes of the scheme is to ensure that the UK receives certain international benefits, such as cultural, social and religious, from temporary workers in the country.
Under Tier 5 applicants may apply through one of the following categories:-
Temporary Workers –
Creative and sporting.
Those coming to the UK as sports people, entertainers or creative artists for short periods of time to perform compete or take part in one or a series of events.
Religious workers.
For migrants coming to the UK to work temporarily either as a Religious worker in a non pastoral role, where the duties include performing religious rites but not preaching to a congregation or as a visiting religious worker.

Charity workers
For migrants coming to work temporarily in the UK as voluntary workers for a charity.
Government authorised exchange
For migrants coming through approved schemes aimed at sharing knowledge, experience and best practice.
International agreements
Migrants coming to the UK under contracts to provide a service that is covered under the international law, including GATS or similar bi-lateral agreements, employees of overseas governments and international organisations and the provision for private servants in diplomatic households.
Youth Mobility Scheme
For young people to travel to the UK to satisfy principally non economic objectives.
Tier 5 Visa assessment:- All temporary workers will need to obtain entry clearance in the category in which they are applying and will need to show that they have enough points to qualify.
It should also be added that individual applicants for the Youth Mobility scheme will be required to show interalia that they have not previously spent time in the UK on a working holiday maker or a youth mobility scheme visa.
