Jahed Morad

Jahed has a multi-disciplinary practice specialising in immigration, employment and technology law. Jahed graduated with an LLB Law Degree in 2010 and was called to the Bar in 2011. He subsequently completed an LLM at the University College London in 2012.

Immigration

Jahed advises both corporate and private clients on all aspects of immigration and nationality law and procedure.

In particular, he specialises in:
• Advising and assisting Sponsors in their management of the Sponsorship Management System; on their Sponsor duties in relation to reporting and recordkeeping; on complying with the advertising requirements; and on processes to prevent illegal working.
• Tier 1 applications particularly in the Entrepreneur category and extensions in the General category.
• Tier 2 applications advising migrants and their employers/ sponsors.
• Applications for indefinite leave to remain for Points Based System migrants and their dependant family members.
• Naturalisation and Registration applications.
• Applications for entry clearance, leave to remain and indefinite leave to remain under the other categories of the Immigration Rules and the European Regulations.
• Appeals to First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
• Applications for Judicial Review to the Upper Tribunal and the High Court.

Employment

Jahed brings a commercial and strategic approach to the increasing array of employment issues that clients face, and is adept at handling matters ranging from executive contract negotiations/exit arrangements, business restructurings and redundancies to Remuneration Code issues.

Jahed advises employers and employees on both contentious and non-contentious matters. He advises employers on grievance, disciplinary and redundancy processes. Jahed also has experience of advising on and drafting documentation for businesses such as Settlement Agreements, Contracts of Employment and Staff Handbooks.
Jahed also has experience of representing employees in unfair dismissal, race, disability, age and sex discrimination claims, as well as with whistleblowing cases.

Jahed advises small and medium-sized businesses in relation to technology, intellectual property, data protection & privacy, commercial contracts and IP/IT in M&A transactions.

Jahed also works with suppliers and buyers of technology in a variety of industries including AI computing, IoT, Big Data, travel tech, fintech, and digital media & publishing.
