After graduating from the University of Leeds, Henry worked for almost a decade in the voluntary sector. His work with ethnic minorities was highly regarded and in particular he worked to bring the Chinese community in Leeds together, helping to establish and chair the Leeds Chinese Steering Group which, with the help of the University of Leeds, published the first report on the health and social care needs of Chinese people in Leeds.
He was also one of the first people to identify the needs of the growing Roma community and successfully applied for grants to help them integrate into British society. His work championing disadvantaged people has been highly commended and he was invited to speak to social work students at Leeds Metropolitan University and also BBC Radio Leeds.
Henry converted to law with the aim to work in immigration. After graduating from the LPC, Henry worked for immigration Advisory Service, the biggest immigration firm in the UK, as a senior caseworker before commencing his training contract at Brion & Co Solicitors, a boutique immigration firm.
With over 7 years of experience in immigration law, there is no type of application that he has not made. His attention to detail and friendly attitude coupled with his ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients makes him easily accessible. He also works in conveyancing both residential and commercial and can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
